Ella Bowman from Chesterfield, Virginia, is dressed as Clara Barton. She says: "Jesus made us all in His image, and I love that because of the Civil War, everyone was given freedom and equality. Clara Barton was very interesting to me because she courageously served as a nurse during the Civil War, helping so many soldiers, and then went on to create what we know today as The American Red Cross."
Brynn Bowman from Chesterfield, Virginia, is dressed as a soldier from the Mexican-American War. She says: "I am in a homeschool writing class called Wiggly Pencil, and my teacher had us research and write about a famous American battle. My love for tacos and cowboys is why I chose this war."
